The Roxboro House

Shooting the exterior with a telescoping tripod

This project involved creating measured drawings and rectified photographs of this Federal style wooden frame structure from around 1800.  Serious structural failures had caused considerable movement leaving not a single plumb line or right angle – so I established a level datum with visual targets using a laser station prior to shooting the house. This datum was carried through to the interior spaces which allowed me to tie everything together nicely, esp. with regard to the building sections.
